XLT Oven Efficiency

In addition to the tremendous savings on initial cost
XLT ovens are less costly to operate

Energy Consumption Comparison between the Middleby PS555 and XLT-3255 These ovens have the same size baking chamber production is the same if done at the same time and temperature.

* We assumed a 12-hour day, and a 360-day year.
** The US national average cost for electricity is 8.3 cents per kilowatt-hour (KWh). A Watt is a measure of electrical power and equals volts times amps. A watt-hour is the number of watts used per hour. For example, if you used ten, 100-watt light bulbs for 1 hour, you used 1000 watts for 1 hour or 1 KWh.

The XLT 3255 oven uses 1/4 of the amount of electricity that the Middleby PS555 uses. Or, stated another way, the XLT 3255 ovens are 400% more efficient.

This equates to an annual savings of $774.49 per oven. As electricity rates continue to increase, it is conceivable that annual savings will approach $1000 per year. After 10 years, the savings alone could pay for your XLT ovens.

The above calculation is for a single oven and savings would double or triple for multiple oven installations

The above calculation for the XLT 3270 as compared to Middleby PS570 indicates savings of $387.32 per deck per oven per year. Savings over a used PS 360 would be $602.00 YR.

Gas consumption tests conducted at our facility indicate that XLT ovens require a bit less gas to achieve the same results as other ovens. Note that gas line requirements for our largest oven triple stacked are only 1-¼ in. Where as competitive ovens require 2-½ in gas lines. A 2-½ in. gas line installation usually cost twice as much as a 1-¼ in. line. Savings of up to $1000.00 are not unusual.

XLT Replacement parts are also substantially less expensive. See parts price comparison.
